Plaintiff's Litigation
McManis Faulkner has a history of taking on challenging plaintiff-side litigation for individuals and corporations, in cases ranging from personal injury to employment litigation, civil rights cases, class actions and beyond. MF handles these cases on a contingency, hybrid or mixed-fee, hourly rate, success-related bonus, or court determined basis. MF is also willing to consider other non-traditional arrangements in appropriate cases.

Through our civil rights practice, MF represents both individual and corporate plaintiffs whose civil rights have been violated in matters involving discrimination, excessive force, false arrest, contracts clause violations, and takings. We have represented many clients in civil rights cases against government entities in both state and federal court, and have tried cases under Title 42 United States Code Section 1983, the Fair Employment and Housing Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and other state and federal statutes.

We are also experienced in representing individuals, businesses, and class members in torts, antitrust, copyright and trademark, consumer credit and consumer fraud, shareholder, taxpayer and derivative suits, employment discrimination and wage and hour claims, as well as criminal justice class actions and other complex litigation in both state and federal courts. Our handling of such cases has resulted in substantial recoveries for our clients from manufacturers, insurance companies and lenders, as well as other corporate and individual wrongdoers.

Our attorneys are well versed in handling unfair business practices litigation, securities violations, breach of fiduciary duty actions, elder abuse cases, and statutory and common-law fraud claims. We also have expertise in representing individuals who have been seriously injured as a result of professional negligence, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents and products liability. Using the same ‘never give up’ attitude, intensive preparation, and trial skills that we use to defend cases, MF has taken numerous plaintiffs’ cases to trial, and our willingness to do so often leads to favorable settlements.
